The weekend of NYFW was a ton of fun. My friends came to NYC to celebrate fashion week with me. We loved staying at the Roger Smith Hotel. It has vintage charm and located conveniently in Midtown close to Grand Central. The staff at the Roger Smith were extremely accommodating and even held our luggage at no extra charge. This made the last day of my friend’s stay stress free. Lugging around a bunch of suitcases in search for a luggage storage place before brunch on a Sunday is no fun. They also have superb complimentary yogurt with granola. During my stay I also visited their Rooftop bar called Henry’s Rooftop Bar. The view is spectacular. If you are visiting NYC you have to visit at least one rooftop bar or restaurant. I of course ordered my favorite celebratory drink, champagne. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people visiting NYC. During the weekend we attended a few shows, played around at Tommy Pier, and sipped cocktails at the Gansevoort Rooftop (in Meatpacking, I don’t recommend the Park Ave location). F R I D A Y Tommy x GigiTommy & Gigi celebrated their collaboration at Pier 16 in Lower Manhattan. The show’s set design was a full carnival complete with rides, cotton candy, and of course the Tommy store. I met up with my blogger friend at the pier as we anticipated the launch of the collection. Music blasted as the nautical looks came down the runway. It was one of my favorite shows of the week. Check out my finale walk video of Gigi. Celebrity attendees included Taylor Swift, Olivia Palermo, and Kris Jenner. After the show attendees were invited to stay and celebrate. I had a ton of fun on the rides. Tommy Pier was open the public on the following day. Shop the collection: here Francesca LiberatoreThe Francesca Liberatore line had a sophisticated style for the working girl. I loved the mixture of graphic prints, selective drapery and fun slits. Her pieces were rich, but fun. My favorite piece was a black dress with the high slit. It was work appropriate with a sweater or blazer over it. Take off the sweater or blazer and you are ready for a night out in town. Written by Diandra Garabedian from jewelry company Louie & Mia. Demoo ParkchoonmooDemoo’s SS17 collection featured airy, color-blocked, and layered looks. The pieces elegantly flowed down the runway. My favorite piece from the collection was the blue color-block dress (first picture). I also liked how the sleeves featured a different printed fabric. Another look I liked was the white dress featuring sheer sleeve accents. S A T U R D A Y Son Jung WanSon Jung Wan’s collection for Spring/Summer 2017 was playful, kitschy, and campy. Influenced by the disco age of the 70’s, sheer panels, and bright colors. I loved the accent beadwork and select cuts in the sleeves. I also appreciated the sheer details on the metallic pants. Son Jung Wan takes disco chic to the next level with a disco train at the end of the fashion show. Written by: Mikael Amore S U N D A Y Vivienne HuWhy be boring? Textures of fun! Vivienne Hu made a hit on the runway this year by combining prints and textures. My favorite look from the collection was the white, ruffle top paired with sheered, geometric pants. Vivienne loves to also incorporate fun cuts into her looks. After the show I met up with celebrity stylist Shun Melson (styles for the RHWOA). She is the sweetest person and loves wearing our bags. Scroll up to see us rocking our Kent bags.
