Warm, sun-rays filled the Sunset Blvd Nicole Miller Boutique location in Los Angeles as I arrived Sunday evening. I had a moment to take in the beautifully designed shop and new collections [ever-so inviting] on display. Fashion enthusiasts walked in to see the collection, mingle, and grab a fruity cocktail or two.
Influencers, photographers and a select few customers gazed at the models in the look-of-the-night as they stepped onto the floor.
The #SpringItOn Collection: Vintage Molas, printed tweeds and geometric patterns. Juxtaposed elements of traditional Panama with modern New York City, gave a refreshing and exciting feel to the new threads. Nicole Miller's latest collection packed some serious "panamania" if you ask me.
Standout separates and statement dresses also adorned the models as they owned their evening look.
Jaw-dropping moment...when I saw the "Mola" leather jacket--certainly my favorite piece of the evening. Completely fabulous. Completely unique. The back was graced with geometrical embroidery design called "mola", indigenous from Panama.
Apart from the clothing and models, another surprising prime focus: A bright, circular, and centrally located melon couch. It added refreshing pop of color that was an anchor for the guests to relax.
What a fabulous way to kick off LA Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017. Looking forward to the remaining events and shows this week!
