Nothing says happy holidays like sparkles. I love walking through NYC in the winter with all the gorgeous holiday decorations. A NYC holiday tradition where crowds gather is seen on 57th Street. In partnership with Swarovski, Bergdorf Goodman designed over the top holiday window displays with countless crystals and fun themes. My favorite was the "Treasured" window.

Bloggers & fashionistas gathered to celebrate the MJ Pieces of Paris Party at Laduree in Soho, NYC. Macaroons were passed, perfume was created & chic holiday cards were written while enjoying live music. Guests received stylish gifts including a Maison Jules sweater (the Voila! gray sweater happens to be my favorite), chic holiday cards, Lune & Aster cream / makeup and a Parisian tray from Rosanna.
I truly am living my dream. It is proof that hard work pays off.
"I built my dream job over the past few years and every move I made was a stepping stone to where I am now. I have always found networking important, no matter what the setting is. A few years ago, Kent Stetson was a guest speaker for my seminar class at my university. I networked with all the speakers but was very intrigued by his story and edgy designs. My first purchase was Splash, his signature design which is a physical representation of his transitional story from digital art into handbag design. From then on, I saw Kent at many other fashion events I was involved in, including the the Sunflower Soirée Annual Fashion Show. Here I was a swimwear designer and fashion show event planner. As an artist, I love expressing myself through fashion that resembles wearable art. I bought more bags and became a #KentCollector. I started wearing and promoting his work on my social media platforms and blog. He saw all my promotional work and asked me to work for him as his PR girl. I started working part-time at special events such as StyleWeek and trade shows, managing his social media and designing the brand website. Over the years, I have grown his online presence and networked with many industry professionals. Recently I just got offered a full-time position here as his PR & Account Manager. I feel it is important to have pride and passion in your work. You live one life; love what you do." Read the full interview.

I was interviewed by Spire & Co asking questions about my dream job working for
handbag designer Kent Stetson as a part of their spotlight series. "If you want it bad enough, you will pursue your dreams. It does not come easy and it will not be handed to you on a silver platter. I am an extremely hard working person and will not sleep at night if I have more important things that need to get done. I feel I lived a different college experience where instead of just being a part of the party scene and studying, I advanced myself in my career path by networking with industry professionals and being a part of many events, first in Rhode Island, and then in Boston and New York City. I started my own fashion blog called Royale Diary about two years ago to document all of my accomplishments, fashion designs/outfits and events I have attended. I live for fashion." Interview with Clothes Horse Clothing designer Bianca Jones-Pearson Who does love lace, tulle, & pearls? Bianca Jones-Pearson, owner & designer of Clothes Horse Clothing, tells us more about her story. Bianca made her runway debut this September at StyleWeek. Tell us a little bit about yourself. I grew up in Bristol RI, my family is from New York and someday I hope to make the city my home. My mom suggested Clothes Horse after cracking a joke about things my grandmother used to say. At first I thought it was kind of silly but I googled the phrase and was instantly sold. Clothes Horse Clothing was born! “ [klohz-hawrs, klohth z-] a person whose chief interest and pleasure is dressing fashionably”. What inspires your creations? I’m so inspired by vintage fashion- anything produced pre-1980. I draw inspiration from women- creating garments that enhance her confidence and function to suit her busy day. When did you start designing? I’ve been sewing my own clothes for about 7 years now, selling commercially for three. We launched our website a year and a half ago and have been selling globally ever since. What can we expect for your next show? Our next collection is titled ‘Faux’ and features our hand made textiles, printed right here in america. We are using a ton of faux fur and pleather and hope to elevate the status of cruelty free materials. I can’t wait until fur and leather are completely outdated. What does Clothes Horse Clothing bring to the fashion world? I started Clothes Horse to help break up the hold that fast fashion has over our country. Re-introducing hand work and start to finish production here in my studio. I wanted to produce work that was incredibly well made- like the work I’m constantly sourcing from vintage shops. They should be items that are fun, flattering and functional- pieces that women can share with the next generation. Tell us more about how your company is eco-friendly. At Clothes Horse, we make each item to order by hand- no wasted merchandise, no unsold product waiting in a warehouse. Every scrap of fabric goes into the production of our one of a kind hair accessories, packaging, couture work or housewares. We work really hard to reduce the amount of waste that leaves our studio. All of our packaging is printed on recycled paper or hand stamped on paper remnants. Follow her journey to a stylist, eco-friendly wardrobe.
