Why did you play Judo?
My biological dad brought me to the judo club when I was 10 and I instantly loved it. I had done Karate when I was 6 and always wanted to do another martial art. Judo became a passion unlike karate.
What are the physical benefits of Judo?
The physical benefits of Judo are amazing. You are using all of your muscles in this one sport so your body becomes muscular and toned. You are doing cardio and strength training at the same time because you are lifting an throwing someone your size during practice.
Judo has different belt levels like Karate. What belt level are you?
I have my black belt. It took me 7 years to get it!
What competitions have you been in?
I have competed in local tournaments, nationals and international. I have won many metals. I have won nationals 5 times.
Is Judo helpful for self defense?
Yes, judo is very good for self defense. Every move we learn can be used for self defense. We learn chokes, arm bars, throws and hold downs.
