It has been a little over 6 years since I started my blog. I was in a different stage in my life back then.
I was just about to graduate college and enter the work force.
Back then is when I really started to build the dream, a career in fashion.
​Now being in my late twenties, I have been places I only dreamed of. I feel that I have entered a new stage too.
I found love with someone who has similar ambition.
He makes me want to do better and always there to support me. I do the same for him.
 Being with him is different. I am so grateful for my life.

Living in NYC during the holidays is fun and hectic all at the same time.
​We do a TON of sales during this period, but it can be exhausting. I enjoy my job so much!
We did RECORD sales this year. Even though the show was 6 days shorter, I still managed to do more in sales.
After work in Grand Central, on Sundays & Mondays, I have dinner & drinks my NYC friends. 
It is great to catch up with everyone, so many things have changed this year.
I am grateful for them and the opportunity to see them during this time of the year.

The biggest trend this season is animal print. I especially love snakeskin.

I love that I grew up in Rhode Island. We have a mixture of city, beach, suburbs, and farm land.
There is something so warming about living in a small town/state/city.
Aside from the fact that "everybody knows each other" there is a sense of community. 
A lot of people support local and go off of word-of-mouth recommendations. 
I have done some amazing collaborations with local RI companies including Kent Stetson & Java Skincare.
​Rhode Island is charming. I did this shoot downtown where the Waterfire takes place. It looks like a scene from Rome!

I have a fashion statement to make.

If I invest in a piece, I want to wear it more than once. Labeling that person as an "outfit repeater" is just wrong.
We over-consume (everything really) as Americans, especially in the fashion industry.
​This skirt is vintage passed down to me from my family. I paired it with my Moschino “gold rush” top.
I like mixing vintage fashion with new pieces. I also enjoy supporting designers made in the USA and Europe,
even if it cost a little more. Fast fashion has become a huge issue and harmful to the environment.
It creates the idea of throwing away an item the next season after we use it.
If we all invested in fewer pieces that were higher quality fashion
(ethically sourced or handmade) there would be a change in the industry.
Please support companies like ours that are handmade instead of factory workers in poor conditions.

Sometimes I find inspiration in the most odd places, like this broken down gas station in the boonies of little Rhode Island.
There is just something so saw about destruction, it fascinates me as an artist.
I thought it was a great spot for this photoshoot.
This shoot was in collaboration with Mode Merr & Kent Stetson Handbags.

Nashville was such a fun trip! It was Matt and I's first plane ride together. Although short, it was a milestone for us.
 Yes we have finally become that disgustingly adorable couple you see in the rom-coms. Anyways, we had a blast riding bulls, eating southern comfort food, and relaxing by the pool. The best way for us to explore Nashville and get our adrenaline rush flowing was by scooter. We used the Lyft scooters because it connected with our app. "Nashvegas" is a common term when referring to Nashville. There are boatloads of bachelorette parties on the weekends (apparently more than Vegas!) which makes the city very lively. People are singing on the streets and having a care-free time. The main strip is on Broadway. Although it is fun to check out, it is quite busy and touristy, especially on the weekends. We were lucky enough to arrive on a Wednesday, so it was still busy but not too crowded. It is very hard to move around in the streets of Broadway on the weekends. The best part of my trip was seeing my family and friends I haven't seen in a very long time. Scroll down for my favorite restaurants, bars, and activities to do in "Nashvegas".

The thrills, the rush, the fashion . . . all condensed into a roller coaster of a week. I am so thankful to have this as part of my job at Kent Stetson Handbags. This season is SS20 (meaning spring and summer 2020) I saw a lot of patterns, animal print, cascading ruffles, belts, sheer accents, and puffy sleeves. ​Each designer brings something unique to the table. This year for the first time I was accompanied by my boyfriend to some very big shows. ​This very attractive Physical Therapist from Newport, formally known as Dr. Matt, was the best Instagram Husband ever taking video and photos for me. It kind of felt like a Carrie and Mister Big moment when we escaped the fashion week madness in-between shows to indulge in a jazzy brunch at Blue Note. Highly recommend BTW.

So a big thing happened . . . People Magazine used my video from the Kyle & Shahida debut show. Special thanks to the IG hubby for taking the video. I was so honored to be featured and attend the show. It was televised for the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, scheduled to air in 2020.  It was actually my favorite fashion show during NYFW this season. I am so grateful to have my blog and viewers who enjoy reading my story.
I have grown so much from when I was aspiring to work in fashion six years ago to where I am now.

How time flies. I have been working at Kent Stetson Handbags for almost 6 years now (collectively).
I am really happy to be a publicist and work in sales for this growing company.
It is so cool to see everything come to fruition right there in the studio.
If you aren't aware, our studio operates as a shop and a manufacturing space. It is the farm to table of handbags.
Just like in a cobbler shop (back in the day) you can see everyone hard at work making the pieces. I am very proud of my boss. 

This year at StyleWeek we were showcased in the Flexetail which operates as a pop-up shop, literally. 
Our signature "Splash" bag print was decorated artistically across the flexetail.
Some of my favorite new pieces are the Baroque Mini Totes (see gold pictured below) and the Rose Gold Snakeskin. 
I am very grateful for all the local support that I saw at StyleWeek.
